..... nobody ever claimed that Saddam hadn't used chemical agents to murder massive amounts of people.... but the "WMD" that were used as a justification for a full scale military invasion were nonexistent, and the intelligence that claimed that there had been was phony. I'm pretty sure that's the message being sent here, not that Saddam never gassed anyone. The only chemical weapons that were found in Iraq were canisters of mustard gas scattered around the country that were left over from the Iran-Iraq war, they were decades old and unusable. A few hundred canisters of degraded chemicals no more potent than the pesticides under your sink. Your "WMD" could have delivered the equivalent of a serious rug burn. Furthermore, as has been stated by several defense department officials, it's scarcely likely that Saddam had even known of their existence. Nice try though.
