Cicero was the greatest statesman of all time. He would be the Roman Republic's equivalent of Obama. He was a new man, his people recently indited into the republic, who rose to power because of his rhetorical abilities, and who opposed Caesar's attempts to end the Republic. After the fall, he preserved the knowledge and wisdom of the Roman republic in his book, the Republic, preserving it for us today. He also wrote most of the literature we have from Rome: it is thanks to his lengthy volumes of writing that we know as much as we do. He has been completely undervalued in history: but then again hey, the winners write history. Let's not repeat the mistakes of the past.

They certainly can't spell... but we shouldn't expect too much intelligence from trained guppies.
